Our year 3 classes are named after inspirational kind people from history, and classes learn about the relevant class name inspiration during the year. Kindness is promoted in school:
  • Promoting opportunities to show kindness and celebrate kind acts
  • Encourage pupils to empathise with others
  • Encourage pupils to see their impact on the world around them
 
Curious
 
Our year 4 classes are named after inspirational curious people from history, and classes learn about the relevant class name inspiration during the year. Curiosity is promoted in school:
  • Encouraging pupils to seek new things to try
  • Promoting mistakes as part of the learning process
  • Promoting a love of learning and the continuation of learning outside of school
Optimistic
 
Our year 5 classes are named after inspirational optimistic people from history, and classes learn about the relevant class name inspiration during the year. Optimism is promoted in school:
  • A belief that things will work out if we keep trying
  • A belief that obstacles can be overcome
  • Promoting the idea that we can seek to have influence over things that we want to change
 
Brave
 
Our year 6 classes are named after inspirational brave people from history, and classes learn about the relevant class name inspiration during the year. Bravery is promoted in school:
  • Problems need solutions and those solutions are not always easy
  • Doing the right thing is not always doing the easy thing
  • Standing up for justice is the right thing to do and can be achieved in many ways
